This Age of Makers Game Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains Salesforce.com’s (“Salesforce” or “Our”) privacy practices for the Age of Makers Game (the “Game”), an interactive curriculum supporting curated STEAM programs by Educators. The Game is intended for teen students 13 years old and above. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully because it is a binding agreement between You and Salesforce. Please also review the Age of Makers Game Terms of Service (“Terms”), which is incorporated herein, and available here.
Capitalized terms have the definitions set forth in the Terms.
Salesforce does not collect, use, or disclose any information pertaining to a User (“personal data”) through, from or relating to the Game. As explained below, other than anonymized data, all data, including personal data, from the Game will only be stored locally on a User’s computer.
The Game may include links to third-party sites, products or services (collectively, “Third Party Sites”). As of the effective date, the Third Party Sites that the Game links to, and contact information for those sites, for quests includes:

While Salesforce does not process any personal data from, through or relating to the Game, any collection, use or disclosure of personal data between User and the Third Party Site is governed by the applicable privacy policies and terms of that Third Party Site, including any provisions regarding international transfer of personal data.
PLEASE REVIEW THE TERMS AND POLICIES OF EVERY THIRD PARTY SITE CAREFULLY AS THEY MAY BE A BINDING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND THAT THIRD PARTY. SALESFORCE DISCLAIMS ALL LIABILITY PERTAINING TO THIRD PARTY SITES, AND THEIR DATA PRACTICES.
Any inquiries or requests to access, change or delete a child’s data pertaining to the Third Party Site should be sent to the applicable third party directly through the contact information listed above or logging into a user account with the third party, as applicable. Please note that the contact information listed above is accurate as of the date of publication of this policy and is subject to change.
The Game does not process any personal data pertaining to Users. To the extent that any education records are created through use of this Game, Salesforce will process data as a “school official” with a legitimate educational interest as defined under FERPA and its implementing regulations.
If You are located in the United States, to the extent students under the age of 13 are allowed to access the Game or any Third Party Site (“Child Users”), the educational institution, the school district, and/or its Educators are solely responsible for obtaining any necessary consent and approval from parents or legal guardians for Child Users to use the Game and to allow Salesforce and/or Third Party Sites to collect and process information from children under 13 for the purposes described herein and in the Terms. Further, this consent must occur prior to a Child User downloading and using the Game. The educational institution, school district, and/or its Educator represents and warrants that it has the authority to obtain and provide consent in accordance with COPPA, as necessary. The educational institution, school district and/or its Educator are responsible for ensuring its configuration of the Game, including the chosen quests, and the features and functionality of the Game the institution permits Child Users to access are appropriate for use in a manner consistent with COPPA.
Educational institutions and the use of the Game, including Third Party Sites, may be subject to laws and regulations in the jurisdiction in which You are located. Educational institutions, school districts and its Educators, are responsible for ensuring that Users can use the Game consistent with local laws. In particular, it is the educational institution’s, school district, and/or its Educator’s obligation to (a) determine whether legal obligations arising from local laws and regulations apply with respect to the educational institution’s use of the Game, (b) obtain any necessary consents from parents or legal guardians, to the extent such consents may be required, and (c) configure the Game and participation such that they are deployed and made available to the Users in a manner consistent with these local laws.
You agree that Salesforce may use anonymized data (including data relating to the downloading and use of the Game) for any lawful purpose, provided that the information is not “personal information” and cannot be used to identify an individual. Such lawful purposes include but are not limited to, development, research, and improvement of the Game and any related Salesforce application, including Trailhead, internal operations, and to demonstrate the effectiveness of the Game.

We will update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect any changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements and other factors. If We do, We will update the “effective date” at the top. If We make a material update, We may provide You with notice prior to the update taking effect, such as by posting a conspicuous notice on our website, or where required under applicable law and feasible seek Your consent to these changes.
